DRS Codem's Digital Audio Recorder is a feature-rich, multi-channel digital audio recorder. Up to 16 analog audio inputs can be simultaneously digitized and recorded to hard disk drive for subsequent playback, either locally, or over a Local Area Network (LAN). The digitized audio data is stored in the industry standard Microsoft Windows Wave (.WAV) file format. These files may subsequently be copied to and played back on any standard multi-media PC.
The supplied Operator Control Software suite allows the operator to play back any of the stored audio files without any annoying seek-time latency. A sophisticated query mechanism enables the operator to quickly find recordings of interest that may be played back or exported to removable media ranging from DAT tape to recordable DVD media.
DRS Codem's Digital Audio Recorder is equipped with a full backup and recovery capability for all collected audio files via the supplied fast, high capacity tape drive. The entirety of the audio data may be backed up to tape, or selected audio files may be exported to tape for transfer to another system.
