DRS Codem Systems, Inc. offers products for flexibility in interconnecting signals of various protocols. These conversions translate and interconnect between a large number of commercial standard signal protocols and military standards.
The CTM Product line supports flexible conversion between conditioned diphase (CDI), serial non-return to zero (NRZ), Fiber Optics (F/O) and Internet Protocol (IP). This capability is a critical component to deployed tactical communications. The CTM product line offers a wide range in supported protocols, data rates, timing options, port density. These features allow for greater interoperability and scalability of deployed networks. The CTM family is heavily deployed, extremely reliable and highly trusted.
The TIG (Tactical Interface Gateway) provides the interconnections between the commercial world and the military tactical network. Because it is IP-based, the TIG can play a vital role in supporting secure communications and paving the way to Everything Over IP (EoIP).
Functioning as an IP interface the TIG allows non-IP endpoints, such as the TA-1042 Digital Non-secure Voice Terminal (DNVT), KY-68 Digital Secure Voice Terminal (DSVT), and tactical radios (PSC-5, LST-5, & RT-1543 SINCGARS) to connect to an IP Communication Manager system.
