DRS Codem's Legacy Voice to IP - TIG
|
The Tactical Interface Gateway (TIG) facilitates the interconnection of non-IP legacy military communications systems to access a modern IP switch. The TIG allows the TA-1042 Digital Non-secure Voice Terminal (DNVT) KY-68 Digital Secure Voice Terminal (DSVT) and tactical radios (PSC-5, LST-5 and RT-1523 SINCGARS) to connect to commercial IP telephone switches. By allowing access to these legacy devices, the TIG allows for maximum IP migration of the network while still enabling legacy non-IP devices that remain in the military's inventory.
