DRS Codem's CTM-100/C MD-1272/G Functionality
The bulky, expensive MD‑1272/G is no longer the only option for JTC3A 9109C compliant signals. Our CTM‑100/C provides a much less expensive (about ½ price) and more feature rich option for the tactical communicator.
Operating in its MD‑1272/G (Fiber Optic) Mode, the CTM‑100/C converts either NRZ or CDI signal formats to an MD‑1272/G (Fiber Optic) signal. This MD‑1272/G (Fiber Optic) signal format is fully compatible and interoperable with the MD‑1272/G. The CTM‑100/C can be on one end of a TFOCA cable while the other end can be terminated with the legacy MD‑1272/G.
Optional Functionality
The CTM‑100/C is a two (2) port device meaning that one port could be configured to support an MD‑1272/G link while the remaining port could be configured to support one of the other many types of connections supported by the CTM‑100/C. For example, the other port could support one of the following simultaneously: 1) a legacy CDI‑NRZ conversion, 2) a CDI/NRZ to CV‑8448 conversion, 3) a THSDN link, or 4) to multiplex two CDI/NRZ lines onto one CDI or NRZ or fiber link.
Optional functionality is available by upgrading the CTM‑100/C's loaded software.
- The MD‑1272/G orderwire interface, CV‑8448 interface, and THSDN interface software packages are purchased separately.
