CTM-IP Multi-Interface Protocol Converter
The CTM-IP is a protocol converter (modem), trunk multiplexer and an intelligent circuit emulation device.

The CTM-IP supports up to four independent conversions between (any combination of) serial, non-return-to-zero (NRZ), fiber, conditioned diphase (CDI) and internet protocol (IP). The versatile CTM-IP can multiplex up to 4:1 onto a serial, fiber or CDI aggregate. This capability consolidates circuits thus requiring less bulky and expensive long-haul cable. In addition, the CTM-IP can be used to combine bandwidth- limited trunks on to a larger aggregate trunk thereby making better use of high bandwidth transport systems. The CTM-IP also provides circuit emulation paths for up to 8 legacy non-IP circuits onto one IP stream. This allows non-IP equipment across to a modern IP network. The CTM-IP delivers capabilities required for convergence of legacy equipment and enables the EoIP (Everything Over IP) strategy.
