The MAPS 300 Communications On The Move (COTM) Gimbal Stabilized Positioner is a high dynamic, high accuracy, 2-axis gimbal with an integral Antenna Control Unit (ACU) for Communications On The Move applications.
The MAPS 300 Communications On The Move (COTM) Gimbal Stabilized Positioner is specifically tailored for vehicle-based communication systems with demonstrated tracking performance through HMMWV Churchville B road conditions. The combination of direct drive design, highly accurate position sensors and advanced servo control, enable precise control of communication and telemetry links from Ku band & Ka band to Optical.
It's compact size and relatively low-structural weight are ideal for space limited applications. The high dynamic performance allows tracking even through keyhole conditions.
The MAPS (Miniature Antenna Positioning System) family of antenna positioners are designed for use on a variety of platforms including vehicles, aircraft and ships. The MAPS 300 can be optionally configured with integrated sensor packages, such as IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit), GPS (Global Positioning System) and INS (Inertial Navigation System), as well as user interface software to provide a turnkey stabilized system.
