The FAC-100 Environmental Antenna Controller provides control of full motion antenna pedestals while withstanding harsh environmental conditions. The FAC-100 Environmental Antenna Controller is packaged in a NEMA 4X rated enclosure with a solid state environmental control unit. The controller mounts at the pedestal and performs all pointing angle calculations, peripheral device control and servo loop compensation in its local processor. Typically, the FAC-100 Environmental Antenna Controller is tasked and monitored via a remote computer interface over a fiber link. This feature minimizes communication bandwidth and cabling requirements further enabling rapid, cost effective integration.
Because the FAC-100 Environmental Antenna Controller is entirely software programmable, it can support a wide array of platforms (fixed, transportable, mobile) and applications (SATCOM, telemetry, threat detection, launch services, etc.).
With servo loop calculations at 256 times per second and higher, the FAC-100 Environmental Antenna Controller provides extraordinary tracking and pointing performance even under the most demanding conditions.
