The FAC-10 Embedded Controller provides continuous control and monitoring of miniature full motion antenna positioners. With on board support for peripheral device control such as, GPS, gyro, compass, receivers, and switches, the FAC-10 Embedded Controller is much more than just a pointing and tracking controller.
The combination of compact size, proven servo control, and total pedestal asset management make the FAC-10 Embedded Controller the ideal solution for Communications On The Move, stabilized platforms and miniature systems.
The FAC-10 Embedded Controller performs all device control, pointing angle calculations and servo loop compensation in its own local processor via high-level commands over a serial communications interface. This provides two distinct advantages: superior pointing and tracking accuracy because the servo loop is processed at the pedestal and inexpensive, low-speed communication links to task the pedestal.
As with the entire FAC product line, all pedestal specific parameters are software programmable to minimize integration time and maximize flexibility. The FAC-10 Embedded Controller can be configured to control virtually any full motion pedestal.
